running in the rain

so i haven't felt very good the last few days yesterday to be honest i slept and just relaxed.  But this morning i decided to try and make up for yesterday. So i went on a 2 miler. I tried to push myself but i still felt like i was hardly moving.  Don't know whats wrong but he at least i still got out there. Anyway can i just say that Running in the Rain is AMAZING!!! i love it it feels so refreshing, i just wish it would have been a little harder. It was a consistant sprinkle at first but then kinda died out.  a nice little sprinkle would have been great.

3 days off 1 day back on

so i took a way to long break for christmas.  I really should have one out yesterday but i didn't, sooooo sooo tired. But this morning i went out and guess what after 3 days off my legs weren't tired i felt so good i only did a short run again because i woke up late and kurtis had to get to work but still it felt good to get back to it.  Then i did a medicine ball ab circut.  feeling good again!

Ok so SERIOUS LACK OF MOTIVATION this morning.  i really didn't feel good but went out anyway.  I remebered how when i got sick in high school how i would "Sweat it Out"  so i decided to go out but did  really short run. But hey i still did it thats still more than lots of people do so here is the quote of the day.

Someone didn't want me to run Today

Ok so i was having a lack of motivation to get out of bed today anyway but i still got up at 5:45 went down stairs got ready then went to find my phone that happens to have all my music on it.  GONE.  Kurtis woke a little and called it for me but no joy, I left it at his parents house last night.  In my book thats Strike 2 against going out this morning.  So i decided i could hurry and get kurtis ipod suffle out and use it. So i went out to the Mountaineer and got it out, but no charge at all.  That would normally be Strike 3. Oh yeah and Ninja my dog(who completely fits the name because he usually goes throught the roof when i ask if he wants to go for a run) wanted to stay in bed.  But against all that i figured it was early enough to go to kurtis's parents house get my phone and still get back for my run.  So i left thinking oh Kacie has school so she should be up. but when i got there all the ights were off because oh yeah its christmas break.  But i went in anyway as quietly as i could and looked for my phone no luck so i decided i would call.it.  Luckily it wasn't to loud. Hopefully i didn't wake anyone up i got it and left and all the lights were still off when i did so crossing fingers.  anyway got back any my body was like ok just a short one today.  I'm thinking we've been doing short ones all week but its ok we're easing back in ok lets go.  so my mind starts playing tricks on my at the end of the 1st half mile thinking i see some shady people at the stop sign so i turn around and go back but i did decide it was to short to do that i mean come on not even a mile when i did an 8 min mile yesterday.  so i cut through some neighborhoods and made it so it was at least a mile my body whinning the whole way.  but i just kept thinking ok Sweat if fat crying make it ball.  then i got a great finishing song and when i got home i did some step jumps and ski jumps to finish it off.  Thank you "Club Can't Handle Me" cuz you made the fat cry this morning.

So i finished up yesterday with some upper body work and light abs with the medicine ball.  We watched the BYU Basketball game and i did them on the couch while watching it. so That was the finish of tuesday.

Dec 20

Ok so i'm feeling good again.  This is supposed to be a cross training day and rest and recovery, but i still went for a quck mile run.  I felt so good today compared to yesterday. I was sick on sunday with a really really sore throat and my ear's hurt and i had a headache.  Kurtis and i were both a little worried i had gotten strep or mono from his sister who has both.  But i went to the instacare and they said it was only a virus.  And luckily only a 24 hr one at that.  To bad i didn't just stay in bed a day then i wouldn't have had to pay the $40 for the dr.  anyway because of that when i ran yesterday all the mucus was still in my throat and i was weezing all yesterday after my run which was when i woke up so all of yesterday. But today i felt great.  No weezing when i ran i only had to stop once to do the farmer blow your nose trick and i probably only hauked maybe 10 lugies.  which is good. But the best part is that my lungs feel good again.

I love running in the early morning. Its still dark out and its so quiet.  I run with the dog Ninja and its so nice just to be out. The cool air feels good and with my music in i just feel it.  I love that feeling.  Even when i'm tired a part of me never wants to go inside. 

Anyway i saw this quote yesterday and thought it fit well with being still kinda sick.

Oh and i figured out yesterday that if i lose 1.6 lbs a week by ragnar i will have lost 40 lbs.  So thats the Goal.

Dec 19

Ok so i've been praying to have more motivation to work out and i think that my answer has been that with the exception of 2 days one of which i was sick i have been waking up at 5am no matter when i go to bed.  thats 2 whole hrs before kurtis has to be at work so it gives me time to think about not going and then still time to go.  This morning i got on Pintrest and was looking at some fitness motivation and did that till about 6:30 then got off the couch and went for a 15 min run.  Then when i got back it did some more looking and found a web site i love that has really super quick interval training.  I mean 4 min worth of interval training i love it EVERYONE has time for and its completely free so check out bodyrock.tv/ they also give you eating guides.  also Rock my Run looking promising.  its full of running mixes.  and here are a few of my motivational quotes from this morning:

dec 14/15

Ok so over the weekend we got a rediculous inversion and the air quality is in the red zone meaning it would be bad for me to run outside.  Plus my Husband told me i wasn't allowed to this week for that very reason. So i've been working on something else.  Yesterday i hopped on Youtube and found some zumba workouts i like so i did about and hour and a half of that yesterday and then this morning i figured out i could get on the internet on the wii so i did about an hour of them in the living room instead of in my dining room.  It was way fun if your interested i really liked fitwjacks she does some fun stuff and some toning zumba which was great. 

Back in the saddle again!

back again

Ok so i've been really bad and haven't done anything besides one night of black friday shopping and one night of dance party on the xbox.  and i think it is catching up to me because i've been really REALLY grumpy the last few weeks. But all is well now i just started back up on my schedule.  I'm supposed to be doing 20/20/15/30 this week so i'll start with 15 today and see if i can do 30 tomorrow.  Holidays are crazy busy and since we are in utah its been really cold.  I just can't justify taking my kids out in the cold in there stroller.  But that doesn't reallly give me and excuese because i could go over to my inlaws and run on there treadmill or to my husbands gym or i could just get up earlier and run outside with Ninja the dog. Which is what i did this morning. And Guess what it was acutally really really really relaxing.  So thats it i just have to run other wise i turn into a grinch. 

Oh part of taking a rest was well because we headed to montana for thanksgiving but also because my shins and knee's were killing me. I did find the new shoes i want but i'm going to wait for christmas and if kurtis doesn't get them for me then i'm going in on tuesday when they open and getting them myself. They are the Brooks Summons 3. 

Here in bountiful we have this wonderful running shoe store called Debore's.  The guy who own's it is great.  I went in with my two kids he had me take off my shoes pull up my pants so he could see my feet and brought me out 4 different shoes.  a Nike, new balance, Brooks and well i can't remember what the 4th was.  But anyway i put the Brooks on toward the end and immediatly my knee's felt great.  Which made me feel better because i thought maybe it was just because i'm overweight that i hurt but turns out i did really run my shoes into the ground.  So can't wait for them Hopefully i won't hurt myself to bad in the 2 weeks till then.

But all in all GLAD TO BE BACK ON TRACK!!!
