1st 5k

ok so i ran my first 5k on Saturday and took 7th in my division i ran a 32:39 it was 3.2 miles. I felt pretty good. Was way more sore the day after but still felt great.  I ran 3 miles on the tread mill on monday and felt good and i'm gonna do a 3 miler tonight too.

wed feb 8 ahh baby push it.

 Ok so last night i went to womens basketball and it was great.  I wasn't reallymotivated to go so i was so glad i had fun.  I think when i don't work out during the day my motivation just goes straight out the window.  But anyway we played 3 on 3 for probably 40 min.  It was way fun.  Today i did my regular 15 min at a 6mph pace but i was way sore after i finished it i decided i was going to do a cool down but ended up just going another 10 min at a 5mph pace and then did a 5 min cool down at a 3mph pace.  i feel really good but hopfully i don't die.  i have to go clean the temple tonight until 12am so hopefully my legs are still there at that time.

going great

Ok so maybe i'll start making these a weekly thing instead of a daily one.  Well 1st Great news  I"VE LOST 11Lbs.  Which is great  i'm stoked about it if ya can't tell.  I've been following our ragnar training program.  wednesday last week i ran 15 min, thurdsay i did a 20 min zumba dvd because well i was sore from basketball on tuesday.   Friday i did 15 and 6.5 and 7 mph pace so just under a 10 min pace went somewhere around 2 miles.  and saturday even though i said i wasn't going to i ran 10 min at 6.7 and finished at an 8 mph pace.  We took sunday off to watch the super bowl and because on our program it says we can but Kurtis (the Hubby) and i decided we need to at least go for a walk or something because monday becomes way to hard if were not doing something everyday.  yesterday i did 15min at 6mph then did 5 more at 6 and ended it at 8.  so i felt pretty good.  anyway tonight is basketball night again wahooo i really love it even though i hurt after but that will go away hopefully.

ok sorry its been a while

ok so i don't actually know when the last time was that i got on here and wrote. Sorry about that but i guess sometimes that how it goes.  I think the last time i was on here i had just become and aunt.  So i've become and aunt, a cousin to 2 new baby boys (twins) and i've been on a serious cleaning house binge since i got all my christmas stuff down.  But anyway i haven't been running a ton since then i started doing zumba to get ready for our offical training start day which was MOnday. 

So this week
Monday: 15 min @6mph pace

Tuesday: Womens basketball for an hour.  And can i tell you how much i love playing with people who acutally know how to play. Sooo sooo fun. I only have 2 speeds in basketball all out and nothing. Thats how i've been since i started playing in 3rd grade.

wednesday: 15 min @ 6.5mph for half 6mph for half

Today: Zumba for 20 min.  Basically because i'm dead. I think basketball took a bigger toll on me than i thought it did.  Anyway have i said how much i love zumba. Seriously if you want a fast calorie burn do it its fun and well its fun.  I got a dvd group for christmas that has the maker of zumba on it i totally suggest it.  I tried a few classes and loved them but i couldn't keep up know after doing these i know that if i went back to a class i could totally keep up cuz i know all the moves.

monday January 9, and tuesday 10

ok so friday sat and sunday we went to cedar city and saw the baby and besides walking around a few pawn shops i did NOTHING.  bad bad sam.  Anyway Monday i worked out most the day doing arms and abs.  i kept my ankle weights on the whole time and was just working out through out the morning. and afternoon.

Today i haven't done much have to go help out in west valley but hopefully get to go for a run tonight at least.

1/5/1012

well i wasn't sure i was going to get a work out in today. But i made myself go for a run tonight before the BYU Basketball game.  i went out for about 15min did about 1 1/2 miles.  i finished yesterday with an ab workout, toe raises, and an arm workout.  Also a Side note I Am and Aunt for the 1st time today.  Welcome to Baby Jaden Ann Rhodes.

a new year

ok so i'm trying to do really good now i've been doing pretty good for the last few weeks as far as eating and exercising but i need to get my motivation back for running again. I Love it as soon as i'm out but its so true that the hardest step is the first one out the door. So today i did 45 min of zumba.  and i'm planning on going running tonight i was hoping to get kurtis to go work out with me but he hasn't been feeling well so i don't think its going to happen anyway that the first real day of the new year work out wise. Yesterday i just did a small ab workout.  Back to running tomorrow.
